Blog for money with Smorty

I was accepted to Smorty yesterday, a site that offers bloggers the chance to get paid to blog. After scoping things out, I believe I’m finally acclimated with everything enough to offer my opinion.

When I first logged in, I noticed I was given a Smorty Score on the left hand side. What does it mean? The number of opportunities you’re given and amount of money you’re paid are both influenced by your Smorty Score. In the center of the page you’ll find your accepted assignments area, which if you’re new, will be looking bare. That’s okay, though! On the right hand side you’ll find your available opportunities. Just click accept on one and you’re good to go! Sorry though, blog for money abusers – you have to complete one opportunity before you can take on another. I’m glad Smorty requires this, as it forces bloggers to concentrate on the task at hand instead of accepting as many assignments as they can and overloading themselves.

As far as pay goes, Smorty seems to offer a pretty good deal; a minimum $6 per post and weekly pay. Nice! If you’ve ever wanted to get paid for blogging, Smorty seems like it might be your cup of tea.
