Learn a language online with Myngle

Ever had the desire to learn a second language but haven’t had the time? Thanks to the power of the internet, you’ll soon be able to take online language classes from the comfort of your ergonomic chair.

Myngle doesn’t require any proprietary software – only Skype. Along with a broadband internet connection, you’ll also need a sound card, speakers and a microphone. And since Skype is multiplatform, those using a Windows, Mac or Linux computer can all join up.

While specific languages are not yet listed, according to the Myngle site, the company “…aspires to offer all possible languages…” so take that for what it’s worth. It will more than likely be dependent on whether teachers are signed up to teach a certain language. That’s right, signed up: if you’re capable of teaching a language, you could set up your own class. Not only is Myngle a great place to learn a language, it’s a great place to make some money teaching online.

Myngle is not yet available for use to the general public. However, if you wish to be involved in testing the platform, you can send a quick email from their web site to offer yourself up. Myngle hopes to launch before the end of 2007.
