Set up a budget to save money

College students are notorious for being broke, and sometimes, broke is an understatement. It’s hard to keep money coming in while taking on a load of classes (unless you blog like me). So what can you do to save money, other than keep the ramen noodle industry alive? Set up a budget. If you know you have a certain amount of money to work with, set aside a little bit of money for different categories - food, books, entertainment, etc. Throw the rest into your savings. Once you become disciplined, you’ll start saving a lot of money because you’ll learn how to get by without spending so much. And if pen and paper won’t do it for you, budgeting software can help you keep track of your dollars and cents.
