The Dormedia Network is coming soon

Check your D&G watch, ladies and gentlemen: it’s time for me to unveil what will eventually be the Dormedia network of blogs! I won’t link to them just yet (they’re still under construction) but I’ll tell you their names and what they’re about. I Love Beer Pong (or I <3 Beer Pong as the logo [...]

Lingerie Bowl? That’s what friends are for..

Talk about PMS relief!  Did you know there is a Lingerie Bowl?  I had no idea until a friend sent me YouTube links for it the other day.  Let me warn you before you view these, though: Jenny McCarthy and Cindy Margolis are two of the three play-by-play announcers, and I’m pretty sure they are [...]

Any college students interested in casino games…

Any Hold’em players reading? How about Blackjack? Craps? Roulette? If you play any of these games online, you might want to pay attention. After all, it’s the weekend, right? If you’re an avid player, you probably want to be playing with the best possible competition. Where do you find it, though? There are way too [...]

Quick cash for college students

Being a student myself, I know life throws a lot of curveballs and some things can hit you out of nowhere. If you’re lucky, these things won’t leave you broke. Unfortunately, a lot of these unforeseen problems cost money. Whether it’s an extra book you need to buy for a class, car repair or you [...]

And our homecoming parade float was…

…Hungry Hungry Hippos! There were five floats in all, and this masterpiece got FOURTH.  Something is wrong with the world we live in when this float, super accurate with moving mouths, can only muster a fourth place finish out of five.  The winning float was Battleship.  Yawn.

How NOT to get into your college of choice

The Washington Post’s Jay Mathews has written a great article about different ways you can ruin your college application. After checking out the list, my personal favorite has to be this one: 4. College interviewers like jokes and exaggerations, so let fire. Dan4, a parent posting on Admissions 101, said his son blew his interview [...]

How about a game of beer pong? Expanding the empire.

Any avid beer pong players out there? If so, you’ll be pretty pleased to find that I am going to launch iLoveBeerPong.net in the next week or so. I’m hoping it can become a favorite site for beer pong players and newbies alike. Not only am I launching that site, but I’ve secured several other [...]

Check this carnival out

No, there won’t be any cotton candy or ferris wheels.  This is even better!  The Carnival of College and Finance has a bunch of nifty articles that most college students will find incredibly helpful.  The Carnival is run by College and Finance, a pretty awesome blog run by an Ohio State student.  I’ll forgive him [...]

Float in progress

Here is a (dark) shot of our pomp’d letters: Alpha Phi Omega.  These letters will join the letters of three other organizations on the side of our float.  What is our float?  I’m still not telling, so you’ll have to wait until Saturday!

Used is the new New

Hey, I’m not going to lie, it’s great to have a brand new car that nobody has ever driven before. However, that being said, I also know that brand new cars that nobody has ever driven before also tend to cost more money. So here’s what I suggest, when it’s time to replace the car [...]
